WEPA UK is one of the leading suppliers of household paper in the country, manufacturing own label toilet paper products for the majority of the UK’s major multiple retailers.
Our main focus is the production of private label household tissue, cleaning and related products.
In the early 1980s, we took the decision to move into recycled paper; an area which is growing steadily in importance within the total UK paper market. Hence, in 2021, we will launch our own brand of recycled toilet paper for the UK market, aimed at environmentally savvy consumers who do not want to compromise on quality or have to pay more for doing the right thing for the planet.
With a commercial office in Bolton, home to the financial and sales teams, our paper production facility resides 220 miles away in Bridgend, South Wales. We are one of the major employers in the town, and continue to engage with local government on job creation and growing our reputation in the area.
We have nearly 300 employees across all functions of our UK business, reporting into the WEPA Group headquarters based in Arnsberg, Germany. You can read about our history and how our values as a family business have stood the test of time.

In recent times, we have benefited from a series of high profile investments in new machinery. However, in 2021 and 2022, this will be overtaken by an investment of over £100m in a new paper line at our Bridgend plant. Named Project Neptune, this commitment to furthering the capabilities of our business will see capacity and scope of products increase, and will propel WEPA UK’s status in the UK & Ireland markets.
